anyone have any gooder advice to share with a young coder....

You see there is this young coder in college, and my daughter has asked me to offer kvetching and advice on things about the software development cycle...

and let us be honest, the last time I did a lot of serious academic concern about C++ the GodDamnedRuskies were hiding behind the Berlin Wall.....
