Marcelo da Luz had heard of Minnesota nice, but he never expected the "special welcoming" he got Thursday when he drove his car that looks like a UFO and is powered by the sun into the state.

State Troopers pulled him over immediately after his Power of One Solar Car and escort trailer crossed over the St. Croix River into Minnesota near Stillwater.
Police detained the car and trailer, saying the trailer is a commercial enterprise and needed the requisite log book, a number from the Department of Transportation and a break-away brake system.
