v-day memories...

ah yes, i was reminded by the mother of my children of one v-day, a while back, in MadTown Wi - it was in the ratskeller, sponsored by the VVAW, with Country Joe doing the presenting of young musicians, and, well, tragically, what keeps on being the same old song.....

it was so comical watching the proto-neoConProWarTypes wander in, hoping that majikally their sportsmen jackets, with their athletic prowess was going to protect them from folks who were not at all afraid to roll 'em like they meant 'em... in more than one vector of rolling...

But to be brutally honest, there are days I really wish I could be that type of bright eyed naive puke who could think that 'upon the playing fields of eton and harrows' would be enough to make them, well, hum... I guess they would hope that was enough to make them the sort of folks who were lucky enough to survive the yankee fire from breeds hill.....

But maybe that is a part of the complications of naivete....

It really IS something that one has to leave to those too young to know any better....
