Book Stuff just moving along.

Well I finished salmon of a doubt this morning. What I found interesting is that folks who 'read' the HitchHiker novel, or parts of the series, in their youth may well want to take the time to go back over the process. Clearly one should read the HitchHiker Series, all five novels, AND a short story, BEFORE one reads The Salmon of Doubt - as one will want to be at home with Douglas Adam's Style before arriving in the jumbled archive of this final piece, which ends with an Epilogue from Richard Dawkins. Which is where I ran into the reference. Nothing scarier than stepping into one's book seller, and explaining that one wishes to order in some other book, than the HitchHiking Ones, and that it is referenced in the God Delusion, which is on prominent display..... Whip out the God Delusion, and note the reference....

Something just a wee tad short of a total improbability drive moment that one, eh what?

Well now on to The Universe in a Single Atom: The Convergence of Science and Spirituality by the dali lama, before going either back into the dirk gentley series, ( Dirk Gentley's Holistic Detective Agency and The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul ) but somewhere in all of this I must find some time to push in the Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed, since with word that the Turks are massing some 140,000 troops on the Iraqi Border, it appears that they may have finally decided that they too are Radical Eco Terrorists who can only find protection from the Iranian Flying Saucers, by way of the ALL Americacn RadEcoTerrorism of restoring the Iraqi Wetlands.

I mean, if you were threatened by Iranian Flying Saucers, what other course could there be???? I mean you wouldn't want to learn that the Smoking Gun was a Mushroom Cloud on a Pizza with no Anchovies.
