IThe Bush administration is accusing the opposition-led U.S. Congress of abdicating its responsibility to fund ongoing war efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan and attempting to legislate failure on the battlefield. VOA's Michael Bowman reports from the White House, where administration officials remain adamant that Mr. Bush will veto any military spending bill that sets a timetable for withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq..Now Remind Me Again, why exactly was the White House UNABLE, and/or, UNWILLING to submit the Costs of restoring the wetlands in Iraq, under, uh, the welfare state programmes?
[ cf White House Presses Congress on Iraq Funding ]
Heck, they could have made it a part of the Department Of Defense budget.... OR would that mean getting the DOD in on the loop about what they really needed to fund as a part of restoring the wetlands in Iraq???
In a related entry, one has to wonder about the nice folks who are explaining how the nice folks they know who are going over to Iraq are still buying their own body armour, since, well, gosh, that never seems to be available though The Military System.... And Gosh, this is only the first time that the EVIL OPPOSITION has had a chance to stab the troops in the back with budgetary oversite....
Could it be, GOSH, Heavens!!! OH NO!!!!
You Mean the DOD should be sending TROOPS to Iraq, and not to be back stage Eye Candy at the Battle Cry Missionary Rock Concerts.....
Oh Dear... Are there so many folks who are SOOO over their Bong Hitz 4 Jesus Quota???
