Those Whiners....

Is it just me, or am I just getting tooo bored with pretentions to security like stuff....
[Unknown LJ tag]
I would take so much of the pretentions to security precautions that much more seriously were it not for the silly bits that keep on keeping on... Back when the company was just a starving start up, I walked in, plonked the old Mac on the LAN, asked the IT Geek, "got DHCP?", and he was polite to give me a 'fixed' RFC1918 addr, oh boy...

then my back found the Net, and the folks said, that Guiness the Printer was off of Tesla, which we use for other stuff as well.... and then the "adults" showed up... So now I get to feel safer knowing that I will have to use the foomatic runner, your friend and Mine, the CUPSD folks, to keep tweeking the play, since, well gosh, they now have Password Control on the HP Printer.... Oh Security Enhancements!!!! So now the Freaking SMB wankage URI will be of the form
smb:://userName:passwed@domain/HostName/Printer/
Boy Oh Boy now that is soooo much greater.... since now, we can prevent the Perverts from creating Post Script B/W print outs of Ideological Deviations!!!!

All Hail Great Leader!!! For he has electrolytes, you know, what Plants want...
