Why does Massachusetts HATE Freedom?

I was SHOCKED!!! Shocked I tell you to read that the State Of Massachusetts is declaring war on veterans:
A day after the release of a study that found that nearly 1 in 5 veterans is suffering from depression or stress disorders, the Patrick administration announced that it had created the Commission to Study the Hidden Wounds of War on Returning Massachusetts Service Members.

“We cannot allow the brave men and women who serve our country to struggle with treatable mental health problems,” Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray said in a statement. “This administration is committed to ensuring that our veterans are cared for completely.”

HELLO!!!

HELLO!!!!

I know up there in Evil Liberal Land folks are confused. But there are no State Troops. Only the Federal Government has actual armed forces who can become veterans. That and of course select corporations on the cutting edge of privatizing war so as to end the welfare nannystate waste that occurs when governments frivilously squander money uselessly buyind defective products.

Thus clearly this so called study can not be true, because all true Holy Warriors In The Most Holliest Of Holy Crusade Against All Monsters Everywhere, in a time of transferring the Tax Liabilities Unto The Unborn Baby Unicorn, believe in RoboBushCheney
They Shiney.

Thus proving that they have no mental issues at all.

Except with God Hating America Bashing Radical Left Wingers who FORGET that
Number Theory Is Just A Theory
and want to use unHoly Numbers Numerically in unamerican ways to attack our most Valiant Holy Crusaders!!!

Of Course Americans Support Torture.

The folks who take a Jon Stewart Approach, of putting the actual words of the player into the context that they know is a crime.

You answer the players Condi Must Go because, well, those evil liberals think that simply because Condi Admitted that Torture was a crime under american law, doesn't mean that it is a criminal act to be involved in torturing.

I mean, should we really hold them actually accountable for what they say?
yellow_elephant

Wow, so good of them to notice....

Hum...

So, did we legalize torture correctly? Enquiring Minds WANT to know:
Rep. Bill Delahunt (D-MA) wanted some clarity during his questioning. Was the attorney general really saying that anyone who acted pursuant to a Justice Department legal opinion was "insulated from criminal liability?"

Mukasey wanted to say it more carefully. "I think what I said was that we could not investigate or prosecute somebody for acting in reliance on a Justice Department opinion."

But the Money shot was the cute head line to
Just how bad were John Yoo's now-infamous torture memos?

After numerous calls from Congress for the DoJ to get digging, the Justice Department's Office of Professional Responsibility told Congress in February that it is busy investigating Yoo's infamous August, 2002 torture memo. That one, signed by then Office of Legal Counsel chief Jay Bybee, limited the definition of torture to physical pain "equivalent in intensity to the pain accompanying serious physical injury, such as organ failure, impairment of bodily function, or even death." It was the administration's so-called "golden shield" which permitted the CIA to use its most aggressive interrogation techniques, such as waterboarding.

And then in March of 2003 came Yoo's memo broadly authorizing the use of torture by military interrogators on unlawful combatants. Now OPR has told Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) that it will be investigating that memo, too.

Ah, satisfaction...

So maybe torture is still illegal, but maybe it is not. Or maybe if we torture you for reasons of state, or god, or because of that favorite voice in our head, then it's not really as criminal as if it were done illegally.

Hopefully the DOJ will make it safer for the folks who really should NOT be held accountable for their actions, because, well, they believe in RoboBushCheney
They Shiney!!!

Can anyone doubt that we will go on needing for more years of RoboBushCheney
They Shiney!!!!

Until all of the bad people have gone away....
