how little things change...

Marking George Washington's 275th birthday, President Bush on Monday linked the ideals of the first president to the war being fought by the 43rd, saying Washington's goals guided the nation's quest to extend freedom beyond its borders.

"George Washington's long struggle for freedom has ... inspired generations of Americans to stand for freedom in their own time," Bush said, using a morning visit to Mount Vernon to draw on the similarities of the dilemmas faced at the birth of the nation and the troubles with which he is now wrestling.

"Today, we're fighting a new war to defend our liberty and our people and our way of life," he said. "And as we work to advance the cause of freedom around the world, we remember that the father of our country believed that the freedoms we secured in our revolution were not meant for Americans alone."

Ah yes....

This explains why George Washington Accidentally tried to restore the wetlands in Iran....

got More Holy War???

An interesting comment here:
At the same time, they acknowledged that the interventions of foreign bishops in support of US traditionalists has exacerbated the situation.
[ cf After Anglican meeting, Episcopal Church on notice ]
Now this will be interesting to watch the 'christianists' address which of their positions they are actually holding here....

Do they support the acceptability of Ferrign Devil Co-Religionists to compromise American National Security And Sovereignty by demanding policy positions not in compliance with Great Leader??? As was the concern when the Pope OPPOSED the Great and Most Holiest Of Crusades to restore the Wetlands Of Iraq....

Or will the Christianists take any support in attacking Gays by any means possible, since Gays are More Scarrrier than anything, EVER!!!!! Including Iranian Flying Saucers...

Oh what will come of these Most Holiest Of Holy Crusades....

why do they Hate the American Constitution???

h/t to Hullabaloo for the fun of our New Poster Girl For Post-Constitutional America
Right-wing author and pundit Michelle Malkin filled in for Bill O’Reilly tonight on The O’Reilly Factor. During a segment on a newly-proposed Airline Passengers Bill of Rights, Malkin said, “So you’re behind this Passengers’ Bill of Rights move. I have to tell you, in general, I’m skeptical of anything that has Bill of Rights tacked on to it.” Watch it:
[ cf Malkin: “I’m skeptical of anything with ‘Bill of Rights.’” ]
It is so good to see them feelling more freeer and opener to clarify why they just do not like the Horror of a Constitutional Form Of Government....

Makes me wonder if they have another form of Theocracy they plan to replace the Constitutional Republic with, or are they just going to skip over the technical bits declare it an Empire and that the Great Leader is the Divine Mandate Incarnate...

those Evil Liberals!!!!

It is JUST SHOCKING!!!! SHOCKING I Tell you, the Horrors of Evil Liberals:
Black moldy walls, stained carpets, cheap mattresses, mouse droppings, dead cockroaches, holes in ceilings, leaky plumbing, broken elevators, unshoveled walks.

Welcome home, soldier.

That disgusting picture of the lodgings for outpatient servicemen recuperating from Iraq war injuries and awaiting disability classifications in and around Walter Reed Hospital was presented over the weekend in an outrageous expose by the Washington Post.

Not surprisingly, there was a surge on Monday, a surge of repair workers who began removing the mold from some of the rooms in Building 18, a former hotel that was converted to lodge troops, mostly with psychiatric problems, as they await medical determinations.

Walter Reed hospital and Army and Defense officials have reportedly been “meeting continuously for three days” since the newspaper expose began appearing. On Monday they said half of the 54 rooms in Building 18 had repair work completed.
...
The Navy Times report says that the VA now has a 400,000 case backlog on new claims.

In 2001, the Times said, “10 percent of soldiers going through the medical retirement process received permanent disability benefits. In 2005, with two wars raging, that percentage dropped to 3 percent, according to the Government Accountability Office. Reservists dropped from 16 percent to 5 percent.”

How Shocking!!!!

The Evil Liberals have been in congress, and have failed to maintain Walter Reed to a standard that would be able to support Active American Combat Tours Overseas in Hostile Fire Pay Zones.....

Hum.... What if those Liberals would have thought about the actual costs and consequences of using american combat troops to restore the iraqi wetlands....

Clearly it is time to support Bush/Cheney in 2008, you know, to support the troops!!! And to stop the evil liberals who have let the military down...
