Feel The Love! or beyond Trust.

The legal counsel to Sen. Mel Martinez (R-Fla.) admitted yesterday that he was the author of a memo citing the political advantage to Republicans of intervening in the case of Terri Schiavo, the senator said in an interview last night.

Brian H. Darling, 39, a former lobbyist for the Alexander Strategy Group on gun rights and other issues, offered his resignation and it was immediately accepted, Martinez said.

Martinez, the GOP's Senate point man on the issue, said he earlier had been assured by aides that his office had nothing to do with producing the memo. "I never did an investigation, as such," he said. "I just took it for granted that we wouldn't be that stupid. It was never my intention to in any way politicize this issue."

Hum.... at least there is some clearing of the house....

Hum... What if there is also a need to get beyond 'talking points' and memo's about talking points, and rhetorical devices, and sloganering, and mere sound-bytes....

Hum. What IF it were time to actually learn something from the voters registration of their referendum, their 'core values', and all of the rest of that rhetorical posturing!!!! What if it is time for the Republicans to STOP BEING THAT DUMB!!! and go back to what our overly educated experience once offered this nation as our core values!!!! Actual Honest Intellectual Integrity above and beyond mere Partisanship and Emotionalism!!!!

Why not try that old school tie idea of winning the argument based upon the merits of the propositions put foward!!! Not based upon mere Blind Loyalty and the Threat of State Security Apparatus......

All Hail Great Leader!!! For he has never been near to any of the assertions he has said, so he can always be true on both sides of the issue, no matter how much blood gets spilled on him....

Still Gloriously Winning The Wars They Avoided...

God but I so love the College Republicans. I Mean they are so the living embodiment of Cute!!! The Freaks over at the Rag For The George Washington University have this lovely Pictorial On Bringing Down The Wall. Oh how Cute!!! How CUTE!!! CUTE!!! CUTE!!!!

Absolutely Cuddly Wuddly!!!!

Just think how exciting it must be to be some College Republican Hiding OUT in an institution of Higher Learning, and then pontificating about one's Massive Poseur Posture about one's Commitment To An Ideology that allows one to speaking about the importance of things out of one side of one's mouth while Hiding In College!!!!

Hum.... I wonder how many of these Brilliant College Republicans are old enough to remember the piddling match about say Bill Clinton, the draft dodger, who opted to hide out in college, both at home and abroad, while the Troops Were Winning The War.....

I wonder what sort of interesting stories we will hear about how Heroic These Young College Republicans were, as the US Army Issues out over 13,600 Exemptions to allow under qualified, and in unpleasantly too many cases, NeoNazi's to take their places and go over ans serve in Iraq, while they are Here In The Rear showing the veterans community how committed they are to their rhetorical devices!!!!

All Hail Great Leader!!!! For he has brought us a new crop of College Republicans who are long on rhetoric and really good at avoiding any actual personal responsiblity for any of their action....

UnHoly Kapitulationsist Appeasers!!!

The heads of the three U.S. automakers pressed President George W. Bush to take action on the Japanese yen, saying the currency is artificially low. The executives said Bush doesn't share their view.

The companies have a ``strong conviction the Japanese yen is systemically undervalued, which helps them to maintain significant trade balance surpluses in our industry,'' General Motors Corp. Chief Executive Officer Rick Wagoner told reporters at the White House after the meeting. ``I can't honestly say the president 100 percent saw it that way.''

``The currency issue is very high on the list at GM,'' said David Cole, chairman of the Center for Automotive Research in Ann Arbor, Michigan. ``It's probably not something that's going to get a lot of attention from the administration.''

Well there is some good news in that.

It beats the snot out of yesterday's propoganda about how Unions are bad and the cause of how the Big 3 are not doing so gooder.

But let us be honest, what exactly should the president do??? I mean how many times can we Nuke Japan to try and get those folks to undetsand that Jesus Gave Us Nukes to protect our White Christian American Way Of Life!!!!! So should we just nuke them, the japense not the car makers, again and help them remember the importance of remember how it was the Americans who rescued them when the Iranian Flying Saucers were Attacking.....

Or should americans ask themselves if there were a republican government in power, and the issue was about creating a competative corporation that would be able to meet the "kyoto accord standards" that are required of cars being sold in Anti-AmericaLand where they are not As American As Americans!!! Then would that republican regime explain about the types and natures of things that occur in an open market system that are important to both the survival of the open market system, but also rewards the efficient and decent players in that system.

Ah yes, what if there had been a Republican Regime In Power for the last six years???

Hum... What if the importance of Global Economics, Open Market Policies, and the likes had been a part of the whole National Security Agenda... Unlike, oh, I don't know, the Black Scarf Wearing Anarcho-Syndicalists who are oppose to Global Economic Realities, Hate the Open Market, and want the NannyState to Rule The Cosmos....

Oh yes, All Hail Great Leader!!!! Because at no time has he ever worried about the political consequences of holding mutually exclusive propositions, since there is absolutely no chance that such would lead to his head exploding....

Yes But Think OF The UP SIDE!!!

Full, untrammelled stewardry is the best available solution to African poverty, and the inevitable result of free-market theory," Schmidt told more than 150 attendees. Schmidt acknowledged that the stewardry program was similar in many ways to slavery, but explained that just as "compassionate conservatism" has polished the rough edges on labor relations in industrialized countries, full stewardry, or "compassionate slavery," could be a similar boon to developing ones.

And of course the WHINING WHINERS WHINE!!!

Good God man, this is an Ownership Society, and that backed by the largest Nuclear Arsenal In The WORLD!!!!! Jesus Gave Us NUKES to keep our White Christian America, White, Christian!!! And American!!!!

So fine, fine, fine, this is suppose to be another The Yes Men prank - but that should not discount the very POSITIVE UPSIDE HERE!!!! A world where people are no longer victimised by those East Coast Effemete Snobs and their whole Whiney Liberal Notions of the Rights Of Man!!!! People would not only KNOW their Place, but would know that there was a Government that CARED ENOUGH to put them back into it, forcefully, if required!!!!

Americans have to learn to support the President's NEW DAY in america!!!

All Hail Great Leader!!!! For He Has Restored The Pride Of Ownership with the Ownership Society!!!!

Are the Christianists Staging Terrorists Forward???

Yes, there is stuff that is scary, and this with the "Quiverfull" movement is a part of that. I recommend that folks stop by digby, ( here ) and think about it.

I personally disagree with tristero, on the Bach bit, since, yes, an argument can be made that his 20 children were a by-product of the need to control the labor units, but let us be honest, any of you folks who "get" Bach can understand how one can wind up with 20 children in an era in which reproductive freedom was not quite the technological marvels of the day.

That Murtha Crisis....

The race to be the No. 2 House Democratic leader turned nasty Tuesday, with challenger Rep. John Murtha accusing opponents of "swift-boat style attacks" that hark back to his days being investigated in the FBI's 1980 Abscam sting.

Murtha won endorsement Monday from Nancy Pelosi, who is widely expected to be the House speaker. But Murtha is opposed by some liberals who say they are not happy with the Pennsylvania lawmaker's pro-gun and anti-abortion record. Others say Pelosi took a wrong turn in backing Murtha over her current deputy Rep. Steny Hoyer because Murtha's record is marred by ethics questions of the type Pelosi pledged to clean up in Congress.

"I am disconcerted that some are making headlines by resorting to unfounded allegations that occurred 26 years ago. I thought we were above this type of swift-boating attack. This is not how we restore integrity and civility to the United States Congress," Murtha said of the ample press coverage of his link to Abscam and more recent negotiations he made as ranking Democrat on the Defense Appropriations Committee.

WOW!!! And From Fox News.

Ok, so I just find it funny to watch Fox News being Fair And Balanced, and supportive of our troops.

Ok, so the rest of the article gets seriously comical about this whole "stay the course" and how it is more important now that we stay with the president and stay the course.....

All Hail Great Leader!!!! For his Stay The Course Policy has helped him get his friend Rummy loose as the lead off Defeatist Cut And Runner, and if the courts go after Rummy, there is a good Chance Great Leader will be able to work on getting into the Gen. Pinochet Recovery Programme...

Yeah!!!! Army Strong!!!
