Sending Which Message?

Ok, so maybe one of my liberal friends will help work out which is the actual message that the current administration is trying to send to the Veteran's Community? The Evil Liberal Media keeps bloviating that some how majikally and mystically the Greatest Military Leader EVER! and his Trusty Side Kick DICK are in some majikal way 'toning down' their attacks on the veteran's community. But should we believe the Evil Liberal Media? Or what they are actually saying?

And if we are to buy into the belief that the Greatest Military Leader EVER! and his Trusty Side Kick DICK are in some majikal way 'toning down' their attacks on the veteran's community - does this send the right sort of Message to THE TERRORISTS? Clearly if the Greatest Military Leader EVER! and his Trusty Side Kick DICK can bee moved away from attacking the American Veteran's Community, without a single 'covert operation' being run by the Veteran's Community, doesn't that just Embolden the Enemy that it is ok to disagree with the Greatest Military Leader EVER! and his Trusty Side Kick DICK!!!

Is Reform a Good Idea?

I thought I would pull this out of a thread, since it clearly should get better press. bluelotusgrrl noted
this is off topic, but i don't have your email. anyway, there's an article in the Nov. 21 issue of the New Yorker about various young political and cultural groups in Iran and their support/opposition/response to the recent presidential election over there. i think you'd probably find the article informative and relevant to many of your blog posts on the middle east.

In related news, there appears to be a plot afoot in Egypt to transition the role of the President from Demi-God to mere elected official. But the good news seems to be that the Islamic Brotherhood is the more publically acknowledged 'opposition group' in the western media. So do we really want to support 'reform' in the middle east?

Or would that bbreak into the fun of 'supporting the president to support the troops"?
