What If America were On Planet Earth?

Would americans be obliged to learn how to live with the rest of the life forms on the Planet? And should that be done with reason? A thought put forward by this interesting article New Anatolian: Problems of Kurdish intellectuals (II) which is attempting to deal with some complex issues.

Perhaps there is some other alternative to merely Nuking First and asking questions later on?

What if Americans were allowed to elect their government, rather than having to engage in military operations to recover their freedom? Would they be interested in a process of Rational Thought? And if so, how would that work?
