The House voted 252-172 to block a GOP measure that would have created a bipartisan congressional panel to investigate Pelosi's claims, which current CIA director Leon Panetta has denied.

Clearly if we are willing to convict the enlisted personnel who carried out the policy, we need to understand who in the chain of command were involved in making that atmosphere acceptable. Given the ongoing confusion that dearOldDick has about whether or not Torture is Torture, we may need to hold some of these hearings as a part of the broader nattional agenda to provide universal health care, so that people like dearOldDick will be able to get the sort of psychiatric help that he is clearly crying out for.
