Should persons advocating the armed overthrow of the gubmint be not gooder?

Yes, in a day when laws were laws, and not merely a part of the goods and services provided by the Imaginary Invisible Foote of the Free Market, things might have been actually treasonous, and/or criminal.

But times change, eh no?
This sort of thing doesn’t really offend me because I think most of Beck’s viewers would back down from starting a new civil war once they learned that it would likely lead to Cheeto rationing. But I am amazed at the sheer cognitive dissonance involved in simultaneously believing that it’s treasonous to peacefully oppose an unjustified war but that it’s patriotic to lead an armed insurrection against the government because they want to pay you unemployment benefits. If there’s a weirder political movement than American conservatism, I’ve yet to see it.

What concerns me more is the ugly parts.

What happens if they really take the mythos that the GubMint, and it's evil liberal minneons, cause the economic NotGooder, and opt to engage in mindless terrorist events, because they lack any of the actual planning capacity to organize a real Coup or Civil War.

If we have learned anything from the last N-years of failures to meet recruiting numbers for the various actual US Military Forces, it is that these Cheeto Eaters have not been learning to be professional players - save for well, the pro's who did the Oklahoma Bombing. Great Tactical project, but lacked a long term strategy.

Or is that a part of the bigger deeper ugly here. It does not matter IF there is an actual armed uprising, or a real political process, merely that there is a rise in terrorist acts on american shores...

And that would some how re-inflate the Homeland Security Investment Bubble...
